Introduction
Upgrading from PlayIt Live to Myriad v6 is relatively straight forward and uses the same Upgrade Utility application that you would use to upgrade from Myriad Playout v4. This application is installed with the main Myriad Playout installer, and more information about using it can be found in this related article.

Upgrading from Playit Live to Myriad 6 Playout
If you want to import content from a Playit Live system, you need to use the Myriad Upgrade Utility instead of the Import Wizard.
This process is technically not part of Myriad Schedule Pro but is included in this section for completeness.
The Myriad Upgrade Utility is installed as part of the main Myriad Playout installation and can be found on any PC with Myriad Playout installed.
To import Playit Live data, follow these steps:
- Run the Myriad Upgrade Utility.

- Click on the Playit Live option.
- Browse and select the Playit Live database file.

- Set the Media Range you want to import.

- Click on Import Playit Live Audio and confirm when prompted.

- The import process may take some time depending on the amount of audio being imported.

- Once the process is complete, you will see a brief summary in the History window.

What is imported
Category names:
The Upgrade Utility will import the Category names and other attributes for your Songs and Links prior to importing the audio items.
Audio:
The Upgrade Utility will import all available Audio files that are listed in your database, and import as much metadata (e.g. title/artist etc.)
Important Clocks from Playit Live
After you have finished importing the audio Audio via the Upgrade Utility, you can then Import the Clocks from within Myriad Playout or Myriad Schedule.
Open a Clock Assignment Set, and on the ribbon at the top, select the Import tab, then click the Import from PlayIt Live button.

You will be prompted to select the PlayIt live database and then all available Clocks will be imported.

What is imported
Although most of the Clock structure will be imported, not everything matches directly so you should then review each of the clocks to ensure the structure is correct. For example, Advert Breaks are not imported due to the differences in how breaks are denoted, but you will see placeholder Script items for where you then need to add suitable Advert Break placeholders.
