BR Live Studio Quick Setup Guide

Broadcast Radio Live (BR Live) is an Audio over IP application that allows you to connect presenters, studios, and contributors through low-latency peer-to-peer audio — ideal for live radio production.

? Prerequisites

Before setup:

  • Install BR Live on a studio/automation PC (can be the Myriad Playout PC).

  • Configure a clean feed (mix-minus) using your mixer or Virtual Audio Cable.

  • Ensure:

    • UDP traffic is not blocked

    • Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is enabled

    • Windows Firewall allows BR Live

✔️ Requires Myriad Remote Edit Server v5.26+ and Myriad Anywhere Pro (Cloud)


? Step-by-Step Setup

1. Install the BR Live Studio Client

Download and run the installer. Admin rights may be required.

On first launch, you’ll see a setup screen:


2. Configure Audio Devices



Choose:

  • Input Device (clean feed)

  • Output Device (mixer return)

  • (Optional) Talkback Device

 

 


3. Join a Room

Click Join Room and sign in with your Broadcast.Radio credentials.


If needed, select your Station:

 

Create or select a Room (each BR Live instance needs a unique Room):


The connected Audio Room will be displayed in the Remote Connections section.


4. Connect to Myriad Anywhere Cloud


Click Connect, enter your Anywhere Cloud URL, and log in with Myriad Directory credentials.



Choose your Station and Myriad Playout Location:




If the location isn’t visible, enable it in Myriad Playout Settings Menu > Database Settings > Locations.


Once complete, click Start:




5. Set Up Directory Permissions

Go to Security > User Security Settings. Edit the relevant Security Group:


Enable:


  • Can connect using Myriad Anywhere and BR Live
  • Choose User Role: Announcer, Presenter, or Producer



    Announcer

Announcers are able to connect, but can’t put their own microphone live. Their microphone can be controlled by any Producers connected to the room. 


    Presenter

Presenters have permission to make their own mic live, but cannot control the microphones of other connected users.  


    Producers

Producers have full access to the BR Live mixer, can turn any microphone on/off, and change advanced room settings. 



6. Test the Audio

In Myriad Anywhere Cloud, enter Studio Control Mode and click Connect To Audio:

Select your Input and Output Devices and click Connect:



Click Start to begin the connection:



If you see Studio Offline, refer to firewall/network troubleshooting.
