The Web Player & Mobile Apps within Broadcast.Radio offer a stylish and professional to connect with your listeners without you needing to put in a lot of work at your station. A big part of that is the ability to automatically display Album Art on your player, based in the Title and Artist information provided by your playout system.
But not all album art is suitable for your audience or your station brand so how can you selectively block the Album Art for some Songs but allow others to be displayed.
Luckily, there is a really easy way to achieve this by simply appending (Hide Artwork) to the Title of the offending Song.
Tip: The (Hide Artwork) tag is case sensitive so it must be added exactly as above!
When either the Broadcast.Radio Web Player or a Broadcast Radio provided Mobile App plays a Song with the (Hide Artwork) tag appended to the end of the Title, it will not display the Album Artwork for that Song and instead will display either the Show Image (if you have one) or the Station Default Logo.
It will also strip the (Hide Artwork) tag from the Title before displaying it so your listeners will see the correct Title in the Web Player or Apps.
As the Media Wall and the Web Player use the same 3rd party service to populate artwork, you can use the images on your Media Wall to locate Songs with questionable artwork and add the (Hide Artwork) tag accordingly.
