Multiple Clock Assignment Grids
Schedule Plus customers have the ability to create multiple Clock Assignments Grids to allow you to vary the Clocks used to schedule content. You can use multiple Clock Assignment Grids in two ways:
- Change the Default Clock Assignment Grid that Myriad Schedule will use by default.
- Set specific date during which Myriad Schedule will override the default Clock Assignment Grid, with the grid specified.
Adding, Editing & Copying Clock Assignment Grids
You can add new Clock Assignment Grids, copy existing grids, edit grids and delete Clock Assignment Grids, using the button on the ribbon.
Setting The Default Clock Assignment Grid
To set a Clock Assignment Grid as the default grid, tick the Default column for that grid.
In the example above, the Default Clock Assignment Set is ticked so it will be used for scheduling be default, unless there is a grid with Set Active Dates that override the default.
Setting Active Dates
If you want to set a start and end date for a Clock Assignment Grid, select the grid you want to use and then click on the Set Dates button.
This allows you to select a Start and End date, which are displayed in the Date Range column.
So in the example above, the Default Clock Assignment Grid will be used for most of the year, but from the 01/12/2024 to the 31/12/2024, the the Christmas Clock Assignment Grid will be used.
Note that you cannot Set Dates on the Clock Assignment Grid that is ticked as the default.
Multiple Weeks Within A Clock Assignment Grid
In addition to Multiple Clock Assignment Grids, Schedule Plus customers can also set multiple weeks within a single Clock Assignment Grid.
This is primarily used to allow you to add some variation week to week, without having to actively change Clock Assignment Grids or setup complex Active Dates.
Consider a Clock Assignment Grid that has three Weeks setup as below:
Time | Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 |
Monday 9am | Breakfast 1A | Breakfast 1B | Breakfast 1C |
Monday 10am | Breakfast 2A | Breakfast 2B | Breakfast 2C |
Monday 11am | Morning 1A | Morning 1B | Morning 1B |
Where the A, B and C variants of each Clock contains some minor deviations such as changes to Song Category order or Link positioning, but overall are very similar.
In this scenario, the first week scheduled for 9am would use the Breakfast 1A clock. The following week, at 9am on a Monday, the Breakfast 1B Clock would be used. The week after, the Breakfast 1C Clock would be used, but in the fourth week, Myriad Schedule would cycle back to the Breakfast 1A Clock so that the process can begin again.
In this way, you can introduce small (or large) variations, week on week without having to constantly update or change your Clocks.
Settings Up Multiple Weeks
To setup additional Weeks in Myriad Schedule. open the Clock Assignment Grid you want to add Weeks to and then click on the Add Week button.
You will be asked if you want to copy the current Clock Assignments into the new Week. If you say yes then all the Clocks will be duplicated into the new Week. If you say No then a blank Clock Assignment Grid will be added for the new Week.
In this example, we will click No to start with a blank grid.
You can now drag Clocks into the grid to assign them to hours in the Week. You can also select multiple hours and then use the Set to selected Clock button to assign the same Clock to multiple hours.
Here we can see that Week 2 will use the General 2 Clock for every hour.
Switching Between Weeks
You can easily switch between Weeks using the Previous Week & Next Week buttons.
The caption between the Previous and Next Week buttons shows the currently displayed Week, in this example Week 2 of 2.
Week 1 is shown above.
Week 2 is shown above.
Adding & Removing Weeks
You can add additional Weeks using the Add Week button.
You can also remove Weeks using the Remove Week button.
You will be asked to confirm before a Week is removed.
