Myriad Schedule Pro - RCS Zetta support

Modified on Thu, 25 Sep at 9:43 AM

Introduction

Myriad Schedule Pro has built in support for many Playout/Automation systems, and most other systems will also be able to import Logs exported by using the various "Generic" export formats.

Some Playout Systems require additional configuration or there as special considerations required when working with these systems.

RCS Audio Assets

For each Media Item in your Myriad Schedule database you should enter the RCS "External ID" from the RCS asset into the External Reference field in the Media Editor.

RCS Zetta requires all audio assets to be either SONG, LINK or SPOT (aka Advert) so any Media Items set as "Basic Media Items" will be sent as LINKs.

You can also set if a specific Song or Link should be allowed to be Time Stretched or not using the option in the Media Editor on the "Other" tab.

Adding an Export to RCS Zetta:

To add an export to RCS Zetta, in Myriad Schedule Pro, click on the Stations menu, then Station Settings, then select the Log Import/Export tab. In the "Log Export" section at the bottom, click the 'Add' button on the right hand side and select 'RCS Zetta Log file'.

On the window that opens, enter a suitable Description and enter/select the Logs Directory that you want the files to be exported to. Depending on the configuration in the Zetta settings you may need to adjust the Filename Date Format or add additional characters to the Filename Suffix:

Commands/Break Notes:

You can use either Script items direct in the Clock OR Myriad Media Items set as "Commands" to send Macro Events to the RCS log file. Please see the RCS Zetta documentation for more information about supported Commands. The Macro name must EXACTLY match the name in the Zetta Database.

If you need to specify thatthe Macro should be a 'hard timed' Macro then you should start the External Reference with the equals symbol - e.g. "=MakeTea"

Additional Clock feature Support:

In the Myriad Schedule Clock editor, several other clock features are also mapped to RCS Log Features:
