Myriad Schedule Pro - WideOrbit Automation For Radio support

Modified on Thu, 25 Sep at 1:38 PM

Introduction

Myriad Schedule Pro has built in support for many Playout/Automation systems, and most other systems will also be able to import Logs exported by using the various "Generic" export formats.

Some Playout Systems require additional configuration or there as special considerations required when working with these systems.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

WideOrbit Audio

For each Media Item in your Myriad Schedule database you should enter the Wide Orbit Category and Media Asset ID reference into the External Reference field in the Media Editor. These should be entered as the 3 letter Category Code followed by a hypen then the 2 letter prefix and 4 digit numeric code. Your numeric code MUST be 4 digits, so you may need to add "leading" zeroes - e.g. "12" becomes "0012".

For example:

MUS-DA1234
MUS-VP9876
LIN-DA0012

Adding an Export to WideOrbit

To add an export to PlayIt Live, in Myriad Schedule Pro, click on the Stations menu, then Station Settings, then select the Log Import/Export tab. In the "Log Export" section at the bottom, click the 'Add' button on the right hand side and select 'WideOrbit Automation For Radio Log file'.

On the window that opens, enter a suitable Description and enter/select the Logs Directory that you want the files to be exported to:

Commands/Break Notes:

You can use either Script items direct in the Clock OR Myriad Media Items set as "Commands" to send Commands to the WideOrbit log file. Please see the WideOrbit documentation for more information about supported Commands.
