Existing Apps in Broadcast.Radio

If you have an existing Mobile App with another provider, you can upgrade it to a Broadcast.Radio Mobile App.


For Apple/iOS apps, your existing app can be transferred to Broadcast.Radio.


We cannot accept Google Play app transfers, but, we can provide you with a copy of the App to upload to your Google Play account


Completing the Mobile App Setup form


It's important to answer Yes to the first question - 'do you have an existing mobile app?', otherwise our Development Team are unaware of your existing app 


You will still need to sign and return a copy of the App Agreement. You can download a copy of this from the portal:


Preparing your Apple iOS App For Transfer


If your Apple Developer Account is provided or managed by a third party developer, you must send them a link to this page, so they can complete the instructions


  1. Log into App Store Connect
  2. If applicable, click on the TestFlight tab, and click the red button to delete all "Tester Groups" under Internal and External Testing:
  3. Under the "Builds" section, click Expire Build for every version of the app still undergoing testing
  4. Click on the "Distribution" tab, and select App Information in the left menu
  5. Scroll down to the Additional Information section at the bottom, and click Transfer App. If you can't see the Transfer App button, check you are logged in as the administrator.
  6. On the next screen, Apple lay out the criteria for your app to be transferred. If any of the options say Criteria Not Met, review this criteria, or contact the BR Support Team for further advice.
  7. If you meet the criteria, click Continue, and fill out the information provided in the set-up wizard
  8. Review the terms & conditions, and if you are happy, click Request Transfer.
  9. Once approved by Apple, the Broadcast Radio Development Team will accept the transfer, and start preparing your new app. 


Preparing Google Play for your new App


  1. Log into the Google Play Developer Console and select your App
  2. Click on Test and Release, then App Integrity
  3. Under Play app signing, click the Settings button
  4. Scroll down to Request upload key reset, and click the blue button
  5. Upload the "PEM" file from below, and click Request. Please be aware that this may take up to 48 hours for Google to process. 


Uploading your Google Play App


  1. Log into Google Play Developer Console and select your App
  2. Under the Test and release section, click Production
  3. Select Create New Release
  4. Drop or select the .AAB file sent by the Broadcast Radio Development Team
  5. Click Save. Google Play will take you to the Publishing overview. Click on Submit for review.
  6. Your App will be available in roughly 48 hours, once it has passed the Google Play review
