Import Audio & Metadata CSV Files From I Like Music (www.ilikemusic.com)

Did you know that music sourced from popular business to business music provider, I Like Music (Music for Business - Official Music Catalogue For All Businesses) can include an additional meta data CSV file that Myriad Playout and Myriad Cloud can ingest as part of the audio import process. Let’s take a look.

As an example, in the New Music folder, we have a couple of files downloaded from I Like Music. The audio file is on WAV format (although other formats are available) and there is a matching comma separated variable file (CSV file) that includes the extended metadata.

Looking in the CSV file, you can see the extended metadata for the Song.

To import the audio and metadata, simple drag the WAV file into an empty Media Item on the Media Wall.

Myriad will automatically check to see if there is a CSV file with the same file name in that location, and if there is, it will import the additional metadata as part of the process.

If we take a look at the Edit Window for the imported item and switch to the Rights tab, we can see the additional metadata hat has been imported.

The Album Title and Year are also imported (see Other tab).

In Myriad Playout (desktop) software, you can also use the Import Wizard to import multiple audio files at once.

Myriad Cloud customers currently need to use Auto Importer to mass import audio with CSV metadata files as currently, the Myriad Cloud import wizard doesn’t include CSV file import.

I like Music is a great source of high-quality music in uncompressed format and with extended metadata.

Broadcast Radio is not affiliated with I Like Music, we just think the service is cool.
