TABLE OF CONTENTS

In this article we will walk through the process of activating the free BR Archive Lite option for streaming customers and customers with Myriad Cloud (Basic, Standard, Pro & Ultimate).

Stations that already have streaming setup or are using Myriad Cloud

If you already have streaming setup with us, or you are a Myriad Cloud customer, then you will already be setup to stream your station output via the Broadcast.Radio platform.

For on premise customers that utilise our streaming, this will typically involve running a web encoder (such as BR Encoder) at the the station which is configured to connect to our streaming platform.

Myriad Cloud subscriptions are automatically configured to connect to our streaming platform.

In either case, the process of enabling BR Archive Lite is as simple requesting the service is enabled following these steps:

  1. Login to your Broadcast.Radio portal (https://my.broadcast.radio).
  2. Click on the Archive button on the left hand side options bar.

  3. Click on the Activate Archive Lite for this station button.
  4. A request will be sent to the Broadcast Radio support team to enable BR Archive Lite on your station. These requests are manually processed so it cloud take up to 2 working days to be enabled (although we aim for a lot less than that).
  5. Once the Broadcast Radio team have enabled your request, the Archive window will change to display a button labeled Create My Archive. Click on this button to activate your free Broadcast Radio Archive Lite service.

  6. Your BR Archive Lite system will now be enabled. Audio will only be archived from the point it is enabled so initially you will only have access to audio after this time but once 48 hours has elapsed the system will provide virtually instant access to any point in the previous 48 hours of broadcast.

Stations that don't stream with us or have Myriad Cloud

If you currently stream your station via a 3rd party platform and do not use Myriad Cloud, then there is a couple of additional steps required to setup a feed of your audio to the BR Archive platform.

Please note that BR Archive Lite is only available to streaming and Myriad Cloud customers. Stations that do not use these services will need to use BR Archive Standard and setup a contribution stream to allow B.R Archive Pro to archive their station ouput.
