Pre-requisites:
- BR Streaming or Myriad Cloud (Basic, Standard, Pro or Ultimate).
- BR Archive Lite, Standard or Pro.
- Access to your Broadcast.Radio portal.
In this article, we will explore the fundamentals of accessing content stored in your BR Archive for review and download.
All Broadcast Radio Streaming packages and all Myriad Cloud (native) packages now include free access to BR Archive Lite which automatically records and stores the past 48 hours of your streamed output for review and download. Customers also have the option to upgrade to BR Archive Standard to increase this logged period to four or more weeks depending on the package.
In this article, we will assume you are a Myriad Cloud or streaming customer and have access to your Broadcast.Radio portal.
Playing Audio From Your BR Archive
To access and review content from the previous 48 hours (or longer with BR Archive Standard or Pro), follow these steps:
- Login to your Broadcast.Radio portal (https://my.broadcast.radio).
- On the Dashboard, click on the Archive button.
- In the left most column, select the Day/Date want to access from your VR Archive.
- Click on the Show you are interested in.
- The BR Archive Settings allow you to switch between grouping by Show or hour.
- The content for the selected Date and Show is displayed in the right hand column.
- To play an item from the Archive list, simply click on the item in the right hand column. The audio will automatically start playing.
- You can control playback using the Player Controls along the bottom of the window.
- You can also jump around with the selected Show by either using the Progress Bar or clicking on another item in the Content column.
Downloading Audio From Your BR Archive
- Login to your Broadcast.Radio portal, access BR Archive and select the Date & Show you are interested in (see steps 1 to 6 above).
- Select one or more items to download. You can use <Shift> + left click to select multiple items.
- Click on the Download Selected button to begin the download.
- Depending on the duration of the selected items, this may take several seconds to start to download.
Once the audio is ready, it will downloaded to your default download folder. - If you want more fine control over the downloaded period, your can use the Advance Download Controls option to manually set the download period.
- Click on the Settings Cog and select the Show Advanced Download Controls option.
- The Advanced Downloads Controls option adds a selected period section to the Progress bar.
- You can manually adjust the selected period by dragging the start & end on the Progress Bar.
- When you are happy, click on the Download Button to download the selected period.
- Another option is to use the Set Start & Set End buttons to change the start and end times as you listen to the audio.
- To Clear a selection, simply click on the X button to the right of the Set End button.
BR Archive makes it easy to review broadcast content and download audio for production, 'listen again' or for re-use in Myriad Playout / Cloud.
