Myriad Playout 6 offers several intuitive ways to navigate the Media Wall, helping you access your content quickly and efficiently. Whether you want to jump directly to a media type or search by title, the tools are built for speed and flexibility.

Using Navigation Buttons

Navigation buttons let you jump to specific content ranges with a single click.

For example:

• Clicking Songs might take you to Media ID 10,000

• Clicking Adverts might take you to Media ID 900

These buttons are customizable and are usually mapped to commonly used content types based on their Media ID ranges.

➕ Creating New Navigation Buttons

You can add your own navigation buttons in just a few steps:

1. Drag a media item onto the button bar at the top of the Media Wall

2. A new button will appear with:

   • The name of the media item

   • The target Media ID

To edit a button:

• Right-click on it and choose Edit

• Change the caption (label), choose a different icon, and adjust the target Media ID as needed

To delete a button:

• Right-click the button and select Remove
  (Note: You must have the appropriate user permissions to add, edit, or delete buttons.)

Jumping to a Specific Media ID

If you know the exact Media ID you want to find:

1. Click the Jump button

2. Enter the Media ID number

3. Click OK to go straight to that item

Keyboard Navigation

You can also move through the Media Wall using your keyboard:

• Page Up / Page Down to scroll large sections

• Arrow Keys to move item by item

This is handy when you're quickly browsing through ranges.

Searching for Media Items

Instead of scrolling or jumping, you can use the Search feature to find specific content.

To search:

1. Click the Search button

2. Enter your keywords (e.g., song title, artist, advert name)

3. View the search results list with matching items

From the results:

• Drag and drop directly into a player or the log
