Importing from external 3rd party schedulers
Myriad can import Music log files (aka 'Main Log files') and Advert (Traffic) Log files that are created by external schedulers.as well as being able to schedule adverts internally.
Most mainstream advert scheduling software already have built in support for Myriad Playout, but if you need to create a custom format within your application then this help article will help you understand the file format for each available log format type.
Attached to this document are a set of documents that explain the various file formats.
Main Log Formats
There are 2 main supported Formats available for the main log and these are detailed in the attached "Legacy Main Log File Format.doc" and "Main Log File Format.doc" files.
If you are creating a new export for your music scheduler then you should use the "Main Log File Format" as the older legacy one is much harder to work with.
Myriad additionally supports importing the following formats:
- Myriad "MML" format files as exported from other Myriad systems.
- Myriad "MMLJ" format files as exported from other Myriad systems.
- PlayoutONE "DPL" files.
Advert (traffic) Log Formats
The recommended format for Advert Log files is the "Advert Log File Format" file.
Myriad additionally supports importing the following formats:
Visual Traffic Log files in this format:
|06:16:00|0386 |0000|**TIME CHECK|WRIGLEY'S |0005
Marketron files in this format:
02:50:00 01:00 DA2432 COM CATHOLIC CHARITIES
Note: if you are working with Marketron then you will likely also want your reconciliation files to be written in a suitable format. Setting the Reconciliation file suffix to ".201" tells Myriad to write the files in the specific format needed for Marketron.
Simian Advert Logfiles in this format:
| |07:19:30|499H|01:00|AUDIO|GRENADA CULTURAL FOUNDATION/NATIONAL DRESS|
PlayoutONE "TPL" files
This uses the format as detailed in the Aiir documentation.
