Copying and Moving Media Items in Myriad Playout 6

Whether you're reorganizing your Media Wall or preparing duplicate versions of a media item, Myriad Playout 6 makes it easy to copy or move individual or multiple items with just a few clicks.


This article covers both single-item and bulk operations.


? Copying a Single Media Item

Method 1: Using Right-Click Menu

  1. Right-click the media item you want to copy

  2. Select Copy 

  3. The Media Browser will open

  4. Navigate to the desired target Media ID (e.g., 5000) 

  5. Double-click the target ID
    → The media item is duplicated to the new location

Method 2: Using the Ribbon

  1. Select the media item

  2. Click Copy in the toolbar ribbon 

  3. Follow the same steps to select the destination in the Media Browser

? The original item remains unchanged; a full duplicate is created in the new position.


? Moving a Single Media Item

To move (instead of copy) a media item:

  1. Right-click the item and select Move 

  2. Use the Media Browser to select the target destination (eg. 5001) 

  3. Double-click the target ID 

? The original location is emptied, and the item is relocated to the new Media ID. 


? Copying or Moving Multiple Items (Bulk Operations)

For batch changes:

  1. Go to ReportsMedia Reports 

  2. Use filters or checkboxes to select multiple items 

  3. Choose Copy Items or Move Items from the menu 

  4. In the Media Browser, select a starting Media ID for the batch

  5. Confirm the action

The system will:

  • Copy or move all selected items

  • Place them sequentially starting from your chosen ID
